Meet Trace
Trace’s passion for excavation began almost before he could walk! While growing up, his ranch chores contributed to him developing the skills required to operate a wide range of equipment. He has continued throughout his life to add to this broad knowledge base. Trace’s ongoing commitment to expand his excavation contractor expertise drove him to earn his Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management from CSU. In addition to his excavation experience, Trace is a tactical aircraft maintainer for the COANG (Colorado Air National Guard) and holds ASE certifications as a diesel technician. He has the knowledge and skills to fix almost anything whether it’s on the ground, in the water, or up in the air! Trace prides himself in providing exceptional customer care by delivering quality results through the application of industry best practices on every job site.
When he’s not working, Trace is an avid fisherman, and hunter. He also loves to hike and explore the incredible mountains of Colorado.
Meet Matt
Matt has been involved in the ground trades for over 20 years. His experience is expansive and includes excavation, landscaping, concrete work, carpentry, commercial farming, and structural stone construction. His excavation and heavy equipment background includes site preparation, foundation work, utilities, septic installation, precision grading, drainage solutions, and the construction of retaining walls. Matt is a master when it comes to stone work and has built several large-scale, megalithic stone features for clients from California to New England. Matt values honesty and hard work, and strives to exceed his client’s expectations in everything he does.
Matt has been a resident of Durango, Colorado since 2001. He is a graduate of our one and only Fort Lewis College and has a Bachelor’s degree in English. Matt is the father of two incredible boys and they all enjoy fishing, hunting, snowboarding, playing baseball, and spending time with family at his camp in Maine.
Meet Shawn
Shawn has operated heavy equipment throughout his entire life. Since moving to Colorado, he has worked as an Assistant Ranch Manager planning, designing, and implementing construction projects. In addition, he has over 20 years’ experience building, managing, and operating a successful automotive repair and tire business. Shawn takes ownership in his customers and makes certain that their needs are his top priority. He understands the importance of teamwork throughout to ensure we deliver on the promises made to our customers. You’ll find that he is 100% committed to ensuring that we exceed your expectations by delivering exceptional results while keeping you informed each step of the way.
Shawn moved to Colorado in 2017 after selling his business to enjoy the tranquility of the mountains. He has a son and a daughter (both in the Air National Guard) and has been married to his wife, Danielle for over 30 years. During Shawn’s’ free time he enjoys shooting his bow, exploring trails, and fishing with his wife and family.
